Okay, maybe not the most interesting title, as opposed to a pirate life, but with all the rain and wind swirling around today I cant help but think of a pirate captain sailing the stormy windy seas. The Stony Brook Orientation yesterday convocation was cancelled because of the weather, but today I had the second part of orientation "Experience Stony Brook", which is kind of like a welcome week with activities to acclimate us to the university. Besides the crappy weather, things went well. College is officially here!. After stuffing my backpack with some free stuff, and walking around the campus,(and of course, the free food, haha) I'm pretty tired. More activities tommorrow, then classes start on Monday officially. More update soon!.

Here We Go
It's here. It's almost here. So many things have happened since Ive last updated this thing months ago. I've graduated High School, the summer has flown by, and college is less than a week away.
College. Where did this come from? I feel as if HS freshman orientation was not so long ago. I feel as if I've become one of those wisdom-filled young adults that always preach "Enjoy your High School Years, they go by so fast.". Yeah, I have to say, I've scoffed at that a few times when it was said to me, but the truth is:it is the absolute utter truth, and now I find myself saying it to others, who probably won't heed my warnings, haha. Anyways, with High School done, and my memories with me, it is now time to move on to something new.
Change can be a scary thing. Especially since college is a new change- a fresh chapter in one's life. A new beginning. I'm some ways, its a little unsettling to leave the old behind. But in exchange for a loss of this familiarity, comes a new journey. One that will inexplicably become a part of one's life forever. At times I felt myself plagued with wondering how I can manage to balance the things that are important to me, the ones who i love and care about[some of which are going in different directions] and working hard in college for my future goals and dreams. After addressing those issues with the girl in the mirror face to face, I've realized something. Everyone is in control their own destiny. Things in Life don't come easy, especially things worth having, but i know what i want to achieve in life and who I want in my life, I'm going to keep moving forward to make it happen.
Days and counting...
